Beowulf is a movie from 2007 produced and directed by Robert Zemeckis. It is based on Beowulf, an epic Anglo-Saxon poem from the VI century, which is a fundamental part of English poetic literature.

In it Beowulf asks the Jutes for help against the attacks of the giant Grendell, and after defeating him has to fight his mother. In the second part Beowulf, now the king, has to fight to the death with a dragon.

The Beowulf movie stars well-known actors and actresses like Angelina Jolie, John Malkovich, Robin Wright Penn, Ray Winstone, Anthony Hopkins and Brendan Gleeson.
